Install IPTV on an LG TV in 5 minutes
On an LG TV, install IBO Player from the LG Content Store, send us two IDs on WhatsApp, and your channels are ready in 5 minutes — without typing anything on the remote.
Step-by-step setup
Four simple steps — no technical skills needed. We stay available on WhatsApp at every step.
-
Sign in to your LG account
LG now requires an account to download or update an app. It is free, and you can sign in with a Google account to save time.
-
Install IBO Player
Open the LG Content Store, select the magnifying glass at the top right, type “IBO Player”, then choose Install.
-
Send us the MAC address and device key
Open the app: it shows the MAC address and the device key. Take a photo of the screen and send it to us on WhatsApp — a photo rules out any copying mistake.
-
Really restart the app
When we confirm the activation, close IBO Player and open it again. If the list doesn’t appear, switching the TV off isn’t always enough: with Quick Start+, it only goes into standby. Unplug it for a minute, then switch it back on.
A 12-month Premium 4K or VIP 4K subscription includes 12 months of IBO Player activation for one compatible device. The full guide to the app, including recovery after a MAC address change, is on our blog.

All these apps are free.
Which app should you choose?
On an LG TV, which runs the webOS system, two apps do the job without any typing: IBO Player and Smart IPTV. Both show an ID — the MAC address — that you send us on WhatsApp; we then load your channel list remotely. We recommend IBO Player: with a 12-month Premium 4K or VIP 4K plan, its activation is included for a year on one compatible device, and its device key lets the activation be recovered if the MAC address ever changes.
Before the app comes the LG account. LG now requires you to be signed in to download or update an app: without an account, the TV’s online services are limited and the store refuses to install. The account is free, and signing in with a Google account saves you typing everything on the remote.
The trap specific to LG is called Quick Start+. Switched on by default since webOS 6, this feature puts the TV into standby instead of turning it off, so that it comes back on faster. The result: an app can keep a frozen state from one day to the next, as if nothing had been restarted. If an app behaves oddly, this is the first thing to check — the steps are in the problems below.
Your access arrives on WhatsApp
After your order or free-trial request, we send your credentials (or your link) directly on WhatsApp. That’s what activates your channels on an LG TV.
If it doesn’t work
-
The store won’t install or asks you to sign in
LG now requires you to be signed in to an LG account to download or update an app. Create one for free or sign in with Google, then start the installation again. If the store still refuses, check that the TV is properly connected to the internet by opening another app.
-
You can’t find the app in the store
The LG Content Store doesn’t offer the same apps in every country or for every model year. Search for the other app on our list: when Smart IPTV doesn’t show up, IBO Player often does, and vice versa. Send us the model number printed on the back of the TV and we’ll point you to an app available for your model.
-
The app stays frozen or still shows the old list
It is often Quick Start+, which puts the TV into standby instead of turning it off. LG recommends switching it off — in All Settings, General, then Devices and TV Management on recent models, or Additional Settings on older ones — then unplugging the TV for about ten minutes before switching it back on. The app then genuinely starts from scratch.
-
Your channels disappeared after a reset or a network change
A reset, reinstalling the app or switching from wifi to a network cable can change the MAC address the app reads: wifi and cable each have their own. Your list was tied to the old one, so it no longer loads. Nothing is lost: send us the new ID shown and we’ll reattach your list and activation using the device key.
-
The picture freezes at peak hours
In the evening, the home wifi is shared between every screen and the signal passes through several walls. If your TV allows it, plug in a network cable: it’s the single most effective fix for stuttering. Otherwise, move the router closer to the TV, restart it and pause any downloads in progress. If one channel cuts out while the others run fine, report it to us on WhatsApp.
